Yahoo acquires Flickr

British Columbia based Flickr which allowed users to share photos and post photos to blogs, has been bought by Yahoo. Joanna Stevens, spokeswoman for Yahoo has confirmed the deal but did not disclose the terms.Yahoo earlier this week announced the Yahoo 360. The service has a new blogging tool in combination with several Yahoo products which includes instant messaging, photo storage and sharing and Internet radio. By the acquisition of 360 and Flickr Yahoo is all set to enter the blogosphere and to compete the MSN's recently launched Spaces and Google which owns the Blogger.
