The Ascent range starts at Rs 2.42 lakhs while the Signature range starts between Rs 3.71 lakhs to Rs 17.22 lakhs. You cannot call it a smartphone in anyway because it does not have any other feature apart from sending & receiving SMSes, Fax and ofcourse make calls. It lacks Infrared (IrDA), MMS and also it does not have GPRS facility. You can call this phone as a symbol to show your money power.
It comes in stainless steel, gold, white gold and platinum. It is sheathed in the same leather used in Rolls Royce's and the face is scratch-proof sapphire. Ruby-embedded keypad ensure precise dialling pressure. Vertu offers two ranges in India -- Signature and Ascent. Vertu also offers its customers a concierge facility. The facility provides a Vertu owner real-time assistance for any problems related to his handset.
