When the giants meet its a ball

Chip maker giant Intel has teamed up with mobile maker giant Nokia to develop the 3rd generation mobile phones. The third generation mobile phones will also run on the Symbian operating systems, Nokia said. Intel will also be working with OS developer Symbian to develop a standard reference design for chips and software for 3G cell phones. The phone which will be based on the Symbian operating system and Intel's XScale processor enable mobile-phone makers to create new handsets more quickly for multimedia wireless networks.
