Nintendo Game Boy Advance, now cheaper

Nintendo has now taken the challenge to dominate the market share for handheld video games. Nintendo has cut down the price for Game Boy Advance SP and now it will be available for $80 instead of the earlier $100. "This new price point makes Game Boy Advance SP affordable for the vast majority of the mass market," said a statement from George Harrison, senior vice president of marketing for Nintendo of America. Nintendo has dominated the market for handheld video games for more than a decade and selling 170 millions units sold of different version of the Game Boy. Game Boy Advance is facing challenges from its competitors to provide better graphics and multimedia capabilities than Game Boy. Most significant of them are Sony's Play Station Portable (PSP) and from Nokia's N-Gage QD.
