Disney buys Pixar

Walt Disney Co., the leading cartoon making company has officially announced that they are acquiring its longtime partner Pixar for a reported sum of $7.4 billion. Apple's CEO Steve Jobs who also owns Pixar will become the largest shareholder of Disney after this acquisition. “Disney and Pixar can now collaborate without the barriers that come from two different companies with two different sets of shareholders” said Jobs. This move can subsequently help Apple with regards to content from Disney which can be given in its media player, iPod Video.
